show_results=True logs tool results; it does not enable Agno’s show_result streaming behavior. The filtered agent passes the domain list to the provider. For its “this week” request, add freshness="week" to YouTools(...) to apply the API’s time filter. Live crawling is off by default, so answers normally use search snippets rather than full articles. For an MCP alternative, consult the You.com toolkit page for setup; provider plans and free allowances can change.

Run the Example

Set up your virtual environment

uv venv --python 3.12
source .venv/bin/activate

Install dependencies

uv pip install -U agno openai

Export your API keys

Run the example

Save the code above as youcom_tools.py, then run:
